Who I Am

I operate Aptlogos as the DBA (in Missouri: Fictitious Name) of Dalton Ponder LLC and as the umbrella for the consumer apps I am building. Aptlogos Thought is one of those apps. I operate from the United States.

What These Terms Cover

These terms cover Aptlogos Thought. They do not cover aptlogos.com, Aptlogos Keep, or Aptlogos Subs.

Thought is in development. There is not a public app or store listing yet. These are the terms that apply when Thought is submitted to the stores.

I may update the terms as the app changes. The effective date on the page is the current version.

Website Terms and Conditions

Aptlogos Thought Privacy Policy

License To Use The App

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Aptlogos Thought on devices you own or control.

Thought does not use an Aptlogos account. Thoughts, quotes, and reminders you save stay on your device unless you send one with the optional Google Tasks integration described below.

This license does not let you copy, reverse engineer, resell, or present the app as your own.

Optional Google Tasks

Google Tasks is an optional integration. It requires a Google account that you control. Connecting and sending are your choices.

When you tap Send on a thought, Thought may create a task in your Google Tasks from the text of that thought.

Google's terms and privacy policy govern your Google account and Google Tasks. I do not operate Google Tasks. I cannot recover, edit, or delete a task inside Google, and Thought does not store Google task ids.

You are responsible for what you Send, just as you are for other content you save in Thought.

Disconnect in Settings removes the on-device connection. It does not cancel tasks already created in Google Tasks, and it may not revoke Thought's access at Google by itself. If you want that, revoke Aptlogos Thought in your Google account settings.

The integration can fail. Google may be unavailable, you may deny a permission, or a needed configuration may be missing. A failed send does not create an Aptlogos-hosted copy of the task.

After a successful send, Thought may archive the thought on your device, depending on a local setting. That does not delete the Google task.

Third-Party Services

The optional Google sign-in and Google Tasks integration connect you to services operated by Google. Google is a third party. I am not responsible for Google's availability, changes to Google's services, or how Google uses data it receives when you Send a thought.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Thought to break the law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or submit content that harms other people. This includes content you Send to Google Tasks.

Intellectual Property

I own the Aptlogos name, Thought, and original materials in the app, except where they belong to their respective owners.

No Warranty

Thought is provided as available without warranties of any kind. I do not promise that it will always be available, error free, or suitable for every purpose. Optional Google features also depend on Google and on your Google account remaining in good standing.

Limitation Of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of Thought.
