Aptlogos Thought Privacy Policy

I operate Aptlogos as the DBA (in Missouri: Fictitious Name) of Dalton Ponder LLC and as the umbrella for the consumer apps I am building. Aptlogos Thought is one of those apps. I operate from the United States.

This policy covers Aptlogos Thought. It does not cover aptlogos.com, Aptlogos Keep, or Aptlogos Subs.

Thought is in development. There is not a public app or store listing yet. This is the policy that applies when Thought is submitted to the stores.

Website Privacy Policy

Aptlogos Thought is a one-line capture app. Thoughts, quotes, and reminders you save stay on your device unless you send one with the optional Google Tasks integration described below.

Thought does not use an Aptlogos account and does not sync to cloud storage I operate. I do not receive the contents of your inbox through the app.

Your device or operating system may include app data in its own backups. That is not an Aptlogos service.

Google Tasks is optional. It is off until you tap Connect in Settings and sign in with your Google account. Connecting alone does not upload any thoughts.

Connect uses Google sign-in on your device. The sign-in is limited to creating and managing tasks in that Google account. I do not operate a Google proxy, and Google tokens are not sent to Aptlogos servers.

When you tap Send on a thought while connected, Thought sends that thought's text to Google as the title of a task in your default Google Tasks list. Other thoughts stay on your device. I do not receive a copy of what you send. Google then handles that task under the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Google tokens used with Google Tasks stay on your device. They are not included in Thought backups, exports, or crash reports.

Disconnect in Settings removes the Google tokens from your device. It does not delete tasks already created in Google Tasks, and it may not fully revoke Thought's access at Google. You can manage or delete tasks in Google's apps and settings, and you can revoke Aptlogos Thought in your Google account permissions.

Thought does not keep a copy of the Google task id, so sending the same thought again can create another task. After a send, Thought may archive that thought on your device, depending on a setting you control.

Apple and Google may receive crash reports through the operating system and their store consoles.

The app can recognize that a crash occurred. You may choose to email a report through a prefilled template to an Aptlogos address shown in the app. I do not send that mail unless you send it.

A Support control may appear in Thought. It opens a page on aptlogos.com. I do not process the support payment inside the app.

The website privacy policy covers that visit.

Thought does not include ads, in-app analytics, or third-party attribution or advertising software.

I do not collect the contents of your thoughts. If you send a thought to Google Tasks, Google receives that task title. I do not.

I do not sell your personal information.

Aptlogos Thought is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

I may update this policy as Thought changes. The effective date on this page is the current version.
